CMB wins mortgage banking award

 Cooperative Mortgage Bank has won the 2020 excellence award in mortgage banking in Nigeria, beating other competitors to the prize. Organised by the Nigeria Housing Awards, one of the major aims, according to the Chief Executive Officer, Festus Adebayo, is to recognise and celebrate original and innovative contractors, consultants and projects that demonstrate excellence in the building and construction environment. Speaking during the award in Abuja, Adebayo said the initiative was also established to encourage competition and competitive pricing in the housing construction industry. While thanking the organisers of the award, Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of CMB, Kabir Ayinde-Tukur, expressed his gratitude for the recognition of his company. According to him, the award would motivate CMB to step up its effort in ensuring affordable homes for Nigerians, thereby bridging the housing gap. T he Faculty of Education, University of Nigeria, Nsukka(UNN), on November 25, 2020 bestowed an “Award of World Acclaimed Distinguished  Professor Emeritus” on Prof. Emeritus Sir Bashiru Aremu (Grand PhD, Dual Post Doc, D.Sc. PhD+). The award ceremony, which was done  during the Faculty’s International Conference held on the 25The of November, 2020, was presented by the Vice Chancellor of UNN, Professor Charles Arizochukwu Igwe, represented by Deputy Vice Chancellor, Academics,  Professor Johnson Urama.
